Caramel Ice Cream

2 quarts milk 7 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 T. vanilla Cream


While milk is heating, beat eggs well and add 1 1/4 cups of sugar. Stir into hot milk. Brown 3/4 cup of sugar. When melted, add to custard, stirring constantly. Let cool until spoon is coated. When cold, strain into 1-gallon freezer. Add vanilla and enough cream to fill to about 3 inches from top of freezer.
