Baked Tomato Casserole

1 medium onion 1 bell pepper 4 (14 1/2-oz.) cans diced tomatoes with juice 3 tsp. light brown sugar 2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce 3 dashes Tabasco sauce 1/4 tsp. Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning Salt, pepper to taste 2 cups Pepperidge Farm dry stuffing mix (in a bag) 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese


Chop onion and bell pepper; saute in butter. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Pour into a 9-by-13-inch casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 10 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
