Jan’s Blueberry Crescent Roll Cobbler

Breads & Desserts

3 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
2 cans crescent rolls
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 stick butter, melted

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 to 2 tsp. milk, or more as needed
1 tsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine blueberries, water, cornstarch and sugar in a saucepan. Cook until thickened. Set aside and let cool. Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Line bottom of dish with 1 can of crescent rolls, leaving them in a rectangular shape. Press together to form a solid bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 to 4 minutes. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Spread cream cheese mixture over crescent rolls. Spread blueberry mixture over cream cheese mixture. Top with second can of rolls. Pour the melted stick of butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees until very brown. To make glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, the teaspoon of melted butter and vanilla. Pour over crescent rolls.
