Ingredients
- 3-4 peaches, fresh, ripe peaches (or nectarines)
- 3 tablespoons butter (plus 2 extra tablespoons for the glaze)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, and a pinch of salt
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)
- ½ cup pecan pieces (optional)
- Splash of bourbon (optional)
Directions
Wash, pit, and slice the peaches into halves.
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over low heat.
In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Dip the peach cut side directly into the sugar and spice mix and cover well.
Add the peaches to the skillet and let them cook for 5 to 7 minutes, gently flip them until they are heated through, caramelized, and tender.
Remove the peaches to a plate.
Optional, toss the remaining butter, brown sugar, the pecans, and bourbon into the hot skillet. Stir for about 2 minutes until it forms a sticky sauce, then pour it over the peaches.
