Caramel Icing

Ingredients

1/2 cup buttermilk 2 cups sugar 3/4 cup margarine 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 T. light Karo syrup 12 large marshmallows, or 1 cup small marshmallows

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a boiler over low to medium heat. Cook to firm-ball stage (248 degrees). Beat well and pour onto cake of your choice.
