Coconut Cream Pie

Ingredients

3 egg yolks (save whites for meringue) 3/4 cup sugar 2 T. flour 2 cups milk 1 or 2 T. margarine 5 or 7 oz. coconut (save a little to sprinkle) 1 tsp. vanilla Pie shell Meringue: 3 egg whites Dash of salt 1/3 cup sugar

Instructions

If you use a frozen pie shell, thaw it. Use fork to prick holes in the bottom and sides. Bake and allow to cool. Separate eggs from whites. Beat in some of the sugar with egg yolks until smooth and yellow. Add remaining sugar and flour. Mix well, getting out all the lumps. Add 1 cup milk and mix well. Add margarine and mix well.
