I’ll stay here in good ole south Mississippi,
where I can speak Southern English with a drawl.
And my speed of life is reduced to a crawl.
Peas and cornbread, smoked hocks,
and collard greens are all 5-star dining to me!
I eat dinner in the middle of the day and
supper about 6 at night — Southern style.
I’ve been and seen plenty of the
“othern,” so I’ll keep on being very
southern in Mississippi.
Pass the peas and cornbread,
fried chicken,
and okra please!
