Three young people at a table registering to vote.Ten Mississippi electric cooperatives held voting drives at community colleges around the state Sept. 19 to get more students involved in the democratic process.

The voting drives are part of the Co-ops Vote MS campaign, an initiative of the state’s electric cooperatives to get members more involved in the decisions that affect their communities. Elections are important for determining the future course of Mississippi.
