The Farmhouse Kitchen: Don't Forget Thanksgiving Pie
Makes 2(two) 9-inch pies
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked, peeled, and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 12-ounce can evaporated milk
- 2 9-inch unbaked pie shell (frozen, refrigerated, or homemade)
Directions
Bake or boil potatoes, and mash well. Blend in all ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shells. Bake at 325 degrees for about 50 minutes, or until set in center. Don’t over-bake.
