The Farmhouse Kitchen: Don't Forget Thanksgiving Pie
Makes 1(one) tube/bundt cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3 cups peeled and chopped apples
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a tube cake pan or Bundt cake pan and set aside.
Combine melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs, flour, soda, spices, salt, and vanilla to the sugar and butter mixture. Fold in pecans and apples. Bake in prepared tube or Bundt pan for 1 hour and 20 to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
