The Farmhouse Kitchen: Don't Forget Thanksgiving Pie
Makes 1(one) 9-inch pie
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- Scant 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell (frozen, refrigerated, or homemade)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Stir together the sugar and cocoa in a mixing bowl. Add eggs, butter, and vanilla. Blend well. Pour into pie shell and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until just set. Do not over-bake.
